Oracle Digital Assistant – Hidden Skills, new 21.06 Feature

ODA

Release 21.06 brought a very useful feature called: Hidden Skills: In digital assistants, you can now designate skills to not be exposed in menus or mentioned in transition dialogs. In transitions to and from such a skill, no transition prompts or messages are displayed.

There are plenty of side Skills like SmallTalk that we do not want to expose not show to the user as one of the options. They are meant to be invoked in order to handle a particular conversation without much fuzz 🙂

In your Digital Assistant select the Skill you want to Hide.

Then use the button Exposed. You should turn it OFF to make the Skill Hidden.

Interesting that the feature is called Hidden, but the field has the name Exposed 🧐

We can check it in Tester.

If I ask for Help the SmallTalk Skill is not displayed

If I go back and change the button Expose to ON, this is what we would see.

A simple feature but very handy 🙂
