Oracle Integration Cloud – An Assistant for Developers

August brought a new release for the Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), and with it, a new developer assistant powered by the Oracle Digital Assistant (ODA). It is a great feature that will help the developers find the information in an easy and fast manner.

Where is it?

It’s located in the bottom right corner of your OIC instance.

Press it and the widget expands.

The main goal of the assistant is to provide immediate help to the users of the OIC instance.

Look the below example, where a user needs extra information on how to import data from HCM.

If I choose Workday, then the assistant provides a series of relevant links for the documentation. Instead of having to search the documentation for all the information, the assistant takes you directly there.

Another example (a typical one I would say).

If I press the link I have immediately all the troubleshooting articles for the ERP adapter.

It also gives answers straight away. For many topics its provides an immediate answer.

Another useful feature is the Help. The assistant will show a menu with all the areas where it can help.

And as part of Chatbot best practices it also handles some small talk.

This is a very cool addition to the OIC offering!
