The dialogue format makes it possible for ChatGPT to answer followup questions, admit its mistakes, challenge incorrect premises, and reject inappropriate requests. ChatGPT is a sibling model to InstructGPT, which is trained to follow an instruction in a prompt and provide a detailed response.

It does not hold up a conversation, but it’s a box full of surprises in the reach of information it can output.
It responded accurately on pretty much any topic I threw (with the notable exception of current events or sports results)
If I ask it to provide me with the details in metric units….yes, it will do that!
Saying this is impressive is an understatement.
